Customer profile

Choose the tags each conversation can add to a customer's profile, and review new tags the assistant suggests.

As customers talk to your assistant, it can learn things about them, such as a preferred style or their interests. It records these as tags on the customer's profile. On this page you decide which tags exist, what they mean and how long they last. You also review new tags the assistant proposes.

What you see

  • Proposed tags. Tags the assistant noticed that your list does not cover yet. Each shows its name, its key, how many customers it applies to, a description and sample values with the words that led to them.
  • Two settings:
    • Learn from what customers say. When on, an AI call reads each conversation once it goes quiet and adds tags from your list. When off, only what customers do is recorded, such as what they view, add and buy.
    • Add new tags the assistant notices without asking me. When off, new tags wait under Proposed tags. When on, they join your list at once.
  • A notice listing the kinds of information that are never inferred.
  • Your tag list. One card per tag.
  • The save bar at the bottom, with the live version, any draft version and unsaved changes.

How to add a tag

  1. Click Add a tag.
  2. Enter a Name, such as "Preferred style". The Key is filled in from the name.
  3. Write What it means in one sentence. The AI reads this to decide when the tag applies.
  4. Add Allowed values, or leave it empty to accept any value the customer gives.
  5. Switch on Several values at once if a customer can have more than one value.
  6. Switch on Sensitive (never inferred) if needed.
  7. Set Fades after to the number of days a value lasts.
  8. Click Publish, or Save draft to keep it for later.

How to edit or remove a tag

  1. Change the fields on the tag's card. The key of a saved tag cannot change, because its data is filed under it.
  2. To remove a tag, click Remove on its card.
  3. Click Publish.

How to review proposed tags

  1. Read the proposal and its sample values.
  2. Switch on Several values at once if it fits.
  3. Click Accept to add it to your list. It is published right away, and data already collected for it starts counting.
  4. Or click Dismiss. The assistant stops proposing it.

Good to know

  • You can have up to 60 tags, and up to 30 allowed values per tag.
  • A key must start with a letter and use only a to z, 0 to 9 and _. Two tags cannot share a key. The key is used in flow conditions as profile.<key>.
  • Every tag needs a name.
  • Fades after must be between 1 and 730 days.
  • Learning from what customers say counts against the daily AI budget.
  • A sensitive tag is only ever set from what a customer did, never from what they said.
  • If you have not published a list yet, you start with a set of starter tags.

Health, disability or pregnancy; religion or beliefs; political views or union membership; racial or ethnic origin; sexual orientation; genetic or biometric data; and criminal records are never inferred, whatever your list says.
